Alright that's great, I'll probably buy the movies some where down the line.
But when I was reading the article about this happening what do I read in the comment section?
That's right kids a bunch of belly-aching!
Things like:
"Aw it just the special edition and not the original 1977 print of the movie."
"I want the original print not the laserdisc version."
and so on and so forth.
Good god, when are people going to get a life. And this is not the first time I've heard this griping, its every bloody time the movies are being re-released. Hell, its still the same bloody story for god sakes! Its not like on a whim Lucas replaced Luke with Commander Jane Shepard, Darth Vader with Dark Helmet or the Emperor with Barack Obama. Or decided to re-edit Empire Strikes Back with Jar-Jar revealing he's Luke's father!
I will admit some of CGI added in the original trilogy was unnecessary such as the whole musical number in Return of the Jedi in Jabba's palace. Hell, at the time CGI was new toy for him play with.
I think what annoys me the most is just belly-aching and whining. Look these idiots should at least be grateful the movies are going to be available for digital download and just shut up.

What people don't realize is that Lucas has had a history of changing his stances on things. The Original Trilogy: Once a Movie is in the can it finished The Special Editions: A movie is always unfinished Selling to Disney: Star Wars is in good hands with Disney and Kennedy Once the deal was complete: Its like selling my children to white slavers Now: Creating magic is not for amateurs and I have Iger's back At least Roddenberry, to his credit, was consistent on Star Trek right up to day he died in spite of the fact he went behind people's backs to have changes made that he didn't like; he saw a cut of Star Trek VI and gave it his blessings but then was on the phone with his lawyer to demand all the militaristic aspects, regarding Starfleet, to be cut from the film but he died before his lawyer could present his demands. Also Lucas needs to reminded he was an amateur when he wrote THX1138 and American Graffiti and when he directed A New Hope.
RIP Toriyama
I just heard about the sudden passing of Akira Toriyama, while I considered Dragon Ball to be highly overrated, but I cannot and will not deny the indelible impact he had made in manga, anime and video games. I do wonder about the future of Dragon Quest first with Sugiyama and now Toriyama since the former’s music and the latter’ character and monster designs help made that series into what it is.
UFO Robo Grendizer: Feast of Wolves
I just completed UFO Robo Grendizer: Feast of Wolves and I want to give some of my thoughts on the game: What I liked: The respect towards the source material that was given that the developers even created a tutorial mission based on the Fall of the Planet Fleed which, correct if I'm wrong, was never shown in the original show. Using the original character designs in the cut scenes, recreating the first opening and even making an indirect reference to Mazinger Z. Being a hybrid game where its a 3rd person beat 'em up/shooter and a top-down shooter when taking control of Koji's TFO. The 3rd person shooter and top-down shooter reminds me of the old NES game Captain Skyhawk. Also it has a limited open world. Kicking the crap out of the Vegan Saucer Beasts. No live service crap, what you see is what you get. Sweet Baby Inc had no hand in this game. Something I'm considering
As I was listening to Exo-Squad earlier this morning I was giving some thought about my Exo-Squad/Gundam x-over and since I have the Gundam origin movies I want to do a "show don't tell," where I introduce Thrax, who is the Char character of the series, where I want to incorporate the Battle of Loum in greater detail than brief mention. I was giving some thought, briefly a while ago, in greater detail this morning of having the liberation of Earth and Venus happen concurrently a'la Lord of the Rings where one story titled "Soldiers of Sorrow" which follows Napier and his members of his resistance cell being folded into a Mobile Suit team (08th MS Team) through their trial by fire in the Gobi to the EFF/Zeon attack on Odessa then the assault on Jaburo and concluding with driving the Neos back to Phaeton City (Chicago) where they evacuate while a series of stories follow Earth Federation Alliance (EFSF/Zeon/Pirate) liberating Venus. Then there is Encounters in Space where I'm going
